Focus Group Details

Within this focus group all proposed sensor concepts of the CRC 1261 are compared. The common base for the comparison is the functional characterization with properly defined measurement techniques and setups. The functional characterization includes

  • the determination of the spectral distribution of the noise,
  • the limit of detection,
  • the bandwidth of operation,
  • the cross sensitivity, and
  • the directional characterization of the ME sensors.

The functional characterization and the benchmarks for the individual sensor concepts focused on medical applications are producing valuable research results that serve as input for the corresponding projects. The impact and resulting actions required to improve the concepts and figure out new concepts are discussed within this focus group.
